So, I was out making sales call about 6 week ago and my customer happens to be next door to Arciero Racing. If you are into desert racing you have heard of them. They do also do the Baja races etc. The same Arciero family has a very large concrete contracting company that does some of the bigger jobs in SoCal. As I pulled up to my customers office I noticed a little Mexican guy cleaning this truck that had a FOr Sale sign on it. he spoke some English and when I asked him how much it was he replied just one minute and came back with the owner of Arciero Racing and the Concrete company. (been awhile and forgot his name) I told him I apologize for him having to come out here but that I just asked his guy the price out of curiosity. He said it was for sale for.........wait for it.........$325,000.00. :eek1::eek1::eek1: He said it was a truck they prerun baja and the other big races in. Said he just sold a similar one for $375K. Again :eek1::eek1::eek1:

This thing was just awsome. Look for yourself.

Warn them of a guy named Ron Johnson of Vic Hickey Enterprises. Tell them to do no business with him whatsoever.

That truck is simply BadAss!
Did you talk to Frank or Al Arciero? The Arciero's campaigned an Indy car for a number of years. Frank also drove for Toyota back in the Micky Thompson stadium days - they gave Robbie Gordon his start in racing. They have been racing for many decades and do it right.

Nice.

Post this in the PreRunner section. Avery will get wood.

That is a deal for that truck. Would cost more to have it built.
I thought it was a lot of money ($250,000) for a new prerunner in the early nineties. $325,000 for a used prerunner is insane. I rather have a house for that much money.

Yeah, but a guy that can drop 325k on a "play truck" prolly has a 2million dollar home :D

Agreed, I think these trucks are beautiful but it's just hard for me to even comprehend that kind of cash.

That interior is making me sprout wood:laugh: That looks like an upscale version of what I'd like to do to my old Jimmy. The hole thing looks like an excellent road trip machine, ANY road trip.:D

In Orange County and probably where he lives I'd guess at more like a $10 million house.

It has been many weeks since I spoke to the owner but IIRC he looked a lot like Mario Andretti (sp)

They do all the fab work in house and seems to be all one-off parts etc. Probably a 20K sq foot building with offices and shop.

Not gonna find mch of a house that is livable for $325K in the area. It would be interesting to see what one of these costs. Wish I would have seen the engine bay too.

The Arcieros are a great group- always been that way. I pitted for them in the 500 and 1000 a few times while working in Irvine, very cool. After moving to MI full time, my wife contacted Ryan Arciero to try and get me back on the team for the 1000 in '06. Best wedding present ever. :D I haven't been back since, but I would go in a heartbeat. They have a FULL fab and machine shop in that facility, and obviously they do great work.

So badass. Love the nice interior with HVAC, lowrance, cupholders. All in a legit prerunner.

the funny thing is that the little Mexican guy who was washing the truck said he and his brother were the ones who did all the consel work and stitching on the leather interior and head liner themselves; less the seats. It was beautiful inside.

Not to sound racist, but "that the little Mexican guy" is often the guy that does bad ass upholstery work. Just seems to be something they really excel at.

Except that guy on Pimp my ride that had to cover everything with tweed :doah:

This isn't 1992 anymore:haha:

You are right. Here in Newport Beach (by the ocean, obviously) A lot of the great canvas and auto/marine upholstry work is done by Mexicans that do work better than anything I have seen. And yes, if my car went to PMR I'd set it on fire afterwards.
