One more dumb problem

Well i got to drive my truck today so that was fun, to bad it was only in the yard, went to bleed my front brakes and the bleeder valves will not open /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif , so whos got the cool trick for this, and dont say new calipers, Im not grinding another caliper forever /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif TIA

Heat.

New calipers are cheap and grinding the 2nd time is much faster. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yeah, heat works wonders....A small butane torch is nice for things like this, can heat just a small area which is pretty hard with something like a propane torch.

I use "AeroKroil" on rusty stuff, I call it my "can of majic" because it's a mystery how it works so well. It works better than the infamous PB Blaster. It's about 7 or 8 bucks a can but very well worth it.

Tap them with a hammer as if you are pounding in a nail , it has allways worked for me and I live in a rust belt
Just not so hard that you flatten them /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

As bigjimmy said, give them a sharp tap with a hammer straight down on the head of it. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
