Well I finally got all my suspension stuff I needed to lift my blazer. I already did a 5.3 4l60e swap and it runs great. So I figured I throw some real money at the suspension to get it on the same level as the engine. Alcan springs, 5125 shocks, shackle flip, poly bushing etc... The whole shooting match.

So I pull the front springs out, after fighting every bolt they came out. So I opened up the frame holes for the FUSH and noticed the passenger side frame looked a little off but I didn't think nothing of it, that was until I put my shackles on and they were basically doing this \\ instead of ||.

I knew the k5 had been hit before but I didn't know about a twisted frame.

So now the plan is to find a preferably 73-79 frame and swap my 6.0 in it and kinda consolidate two builds into one bad expedition blazer.

73-79 frame just because I have a A bomb built for a 79

And I'm gonna ditch the 4l60 for a nv4500.

It's bull how fast this project changed directions, earlier today my blazer was almost finished, now it's turned into another long project. But I guess that's what happens when you gotta have a K5 in your life lol

Maybe the frame could be pulled back into alignment on a frame rack?...be a lot less work than starting over from scratch...

Keep in mind that 77 was the last year for the tall floor at the rear passenger seat, 78-80 had a different frame for the shorter floor.

Is the frame from 78 and up pretty similar tho, and I thought about straightening it on a frame rack but honestly this is the straw that broke the camels back. The bottom of the frame had been beat to death by the PO and it's got a lot of rust in the rear section, I'm just done with it.
