What's the consensus on these Fel-Pro rubber oil pan gaskets? I had one leak between the pan and gasket at the rear round section of the oil pan. Should I , or can I, use sealant on these in that area?

I like them. did you double check the bolt were snug? IIrc the directions want a small amount of rtv in the corners, were the gasket tabs go in the main cap slots. Oil pan need to in good shape, no dents.

Thanks Wes, There doesn't seem to be any flaws with the pan in that area. I torqued the pan to bolt size specs but maybe it needed to be tighter. I think I will clean it up and run a small amount of RTV on the pan side of the gasket this time. I have the RTV on the block side in those areas which is helping hold the gasket up now which is a plus.

I have one of those Fel-Pro one piece gaskets right now on a new crate engine with about 15,000 miles on it, and have no problems with it leaking around the rear main seal. The pan and engine are new so the sealing surfaces may be better that an older engine with an older pan. Using a thin layer on the whole gasket, and making sure you have a good bead of RTV in the pan corners would be a good idea with an older engine with an older pan.

I have use 5 so far, 2 fords 3 chevy. ! of the fords I took off to redo the dip stick attachment and reused the one piece, no issue with it sealing. 1 chevy was seeping and resnug on of bolts stopped that.
Going to be my goto any time I remove a pan that has 4 piece gasket set.
