Has anyone ever seen or performed a tilt front useing the stock front pieces? I am doing a swap on my 75` useing an 83` front. It would be nice to have the room offered by the tilt front.

I know years ago in one of the off road magazines, they featured someones GM pickup that had a tilt front end. They used the original body parts (hood, fenders, etc) . Not only did it tilt, but you can open the hood normally also.
They had cut the fenders just behind the wheelwell, just enough to give the hood hinges their support and part of the fender permanently fastened to the firewall.

That sounds like a great idea but i only see one problem with it. right now i have the front clip off my 75 blazer and just happen to have the top off as well. with the top off i seem to have a lot of movement in the front cab section if you grab the windshild and move it front to back. Im not sure if the fenders bieng mounted to the rad support and the firewall give the proper support or the top is supposed to take of it. Just food for thought!!!
