one piece window kit

I have it on my stepside its a nice kit once you get past the install, I plan on doing the kit in my 79 K20 and my 91 V3500 as well .

as for the issues of weaking the door, I didn't really notice a problem on mine, but I do have the small mirrors so that could be the factor

I can say from a upholstery standpoint that when we would get a square in the shop that had this done that the door panels never fit well especially at the top of the scraper. The kit is very universal and in my opinion a solution to which there was never a problem. Replacing the wing window rubber and run channel was all we ever needed to quite whistling windows. Not to mention a good door adjustment. Here is an AWESOME tool to adjust our doors. http://www.eastwood.com/e-z-store-door-alignment-tool.html

Just don't use the window seal from LMC...unfortunately, I used the LMC seals and they don't fit worth a s***...I will redo them one day with some good ones.

I got my seals through Classic Parts and am very happy with the quality and fit.

No we didnt. We never did. We would use what the customer had with the kit. Problem was that the adhesive they used to install the scrapers on the outside would come loose after awhile. Also since you are forced to use their window scraper rubber it doesnt fit like OEM without A LOT of tweaking. Plus you had to pop rivet the door panel scraper in place and it never fits as snug as the factory clips.

Don't get me wrong i LOVE the way cleaner look but it wasn't a well executed kit in terms of install or smoothness of operation. As least the dozen or so i have seen or worked on.

I love the look for a street driven rig, there's no way i could spend 600+, especially with how many windows i've shattered on the trail :D

When I redo K20 in a couple years I am planning on using that kit. If you use it, let me know what you think. Ive read the instructions for it several times, some parts seem easy, others I think would make me nervous (cutting the in door brace for glass clearance makes me worry the door skin would flex alot). Also some of the parts where you basically glue the gaskets to the doors (going off memory here), seem a little....ghetto.

Other than those concerns I would LOVE to put it on mine. Just wish since its basically a custom kit, that it came w/ a more powerful motor to make the windows faster.
