One Thing I Like About My Blazer

One thing I like about my Blazer is people get out of your way. I get respect on the road. People are not so eagar to pull out in front of you when your coming down the road. I used to drive a P.O.S. escort (years ago) and everytime some a$$hole that had a bigger vehicle than you (or not) would cut you off or pull out in front of you. Those days are (almost) over.

I have a VW Scirocco (have had it for 15 years), and it is truly amazing the respect that I get when I am driving the lifted rusty Suburban with 33s in comparison to the (lowered) VW.

Yes, It is intimidating to other people when drive the k5 around town. Especially love the tailgaters. This is one thing I try not to do with the k5 due to the lack of braking. Also I hate it when peolple tailgate me so I don't. I have a sticker on my hitch "Tailgaters Eat My Hitch".

We have some very narrow side streets in the older part of town (where I live) and two small rice boys are hard pressed to pass each other without banging mirrors. When I'm driving the "behemoth" K5, even the Silly Useless Vehicles (SUV's) get out of the way! I love it!!!

Alright, here are the vehicles I started out with since I was 16 yr old. 82'(?) Honda Accord (real POS, doors didn't close right unless I slammed it the right.) Then 86' Phord Tempo another POS, then a 93' Geo Metro (we call it the "Egg" it was white, definate POS. Then upgraded to a 88' S10 Blazer, then the K5. The little ones get no respect. But my K5 don't get much either. People don't cut me off as much, but they ride my a$$ all the time. I need a bumper sticker saying "Stop riding my A$$!" One day, I'm just gonna hit the brakes and then make them buy me a new rear bumper.

if your tranny can stand it just throw it down into first when someone is riding your tail, no brake lights and sudden slowing. unless the tailgater is paying real good attention he/she'll eat your bumper. and you can easily show the cop that yes, your brake lights work fine....

I drove a beast when I was stationed in Kansas City, MO and loved being above all the idiots so I could see traffic up ahead and to keep the idiots away from me.

I'm getting out of the Corps and going to Atlanta and considered driving a small car to save on gas, but after driving around HotLanta a little I have decided to keep the beast, that place is gonna be hell!!!!

People definately give you more respect in a K5. I know someone whos getting a bronco

and he's putting a sticker on the back that says "He with the biggest tires at a 4 way stop has the right of way." I've seen another good one on tailgating "unless your a hemmroid get off my ass!" I want to find one of those.

I just love those 'ricers', especially when they tailgate me!

I have the 4 speed manual so I usually just put it in 3rd and drop the clutch, wait about two seconds and then stand on the binders! Man I've had a couple of Hondas damn near disappear under my truck.

I'll say one thing though those Ricer cars have good brakes!
Funny thing is they don't follow so close after that!

Hey guys, I couldn't help but notice you looking for stickers. Well I just may be able to assist you in that. I do vinyl graphics, and I can make you just about anything you want. I just made up some Chevrolet stickers for Canmore, and I also made the ColoradoK5.com stickers for Steve(which you'll have to contact him for, those I can't help you with). I guess the drivers here in San Antonio Texas don't give a damm, they'll cut you off no matter what you drive! I've had to spike my brakes in my K5 on many occasions..........

I'd like to have a bumper sticker that says "SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE HITCH". I just put on a 10,000 lb Reese hitch. If anyone rear ends me, well you get the idea!!!
