Im looking into buying a good 1350 front shaft, the high angle driveline 32 degree looks good and might work for what i need. Anyone have one of these or a front shaft company that works good for them....? Im not into a square tube shaft , more into a durable long slip front shaft..

If you've got a local shop around, they can probably build you a decent 1350 shaft. I think diy4x also builds them now and High angle is certainly a good place to deal with.

I have been running my High Angle 1350 CV shaft since 2003 and have not done anything to it. Still running the same joints and all. I am going to have to have it retubed though because it has hit a few rocks. I will be going with heavy wall tube this time.

I used a HAD front 1350 shaft for 2 years with no issues. I moved my front axle forward so I shortened it and ran it in the rear. I made up a spiffy square tube front shaft using a ford CV (to go with the 32 spline output I swapped in) and using 1350 joints. It works as good as the HAD shaft for me. But to be fair with 44" tires and 4.11 gears my driveshaft speed is slower than most. I never take it up to highway speed either..

He can't go wrong with a HAD shaft if you ask me.

Kert (DIY4X) no longer does driveshafts.

The local guy here doesnt do any thing fancy, he only retubes, shortens and rewelds the ends. the other place does big truck shafts and they are super high in price and i have no idea the quality. I dont think kert does em any more, something with supplier problems.

The had 1350 is a decent price and some here say he is superior with quality. Ill have to see what to do I only wana buy it on time....lol

I got my shafts from Tom Woods and they were cheaper and way better then the local guy in town.

I'm running HAD shafts and they were super nice to deal with. I paid some money for them but the quality was impeccable. I went with 1410's all the way around. I've heard good things about Tom Wood also.

I thought about calling tom woods to see how much a 1350 long slip shaft would be, i hear alot about there shafts too. Any one know what there price range is..? I know one from had was almost 500.00 shipped.

Yea i was thinking that too. Now thats just for the 1350 with long slip shaft, the yoke is extra....i think the yokes around 100 bucks, so more like 600 to my door and im on the other end of the country....

Still not a bad deal. I've never understood why driveshafts are sometimes more expensive than a whole used running motor...

Yea thats true, my last 350 ran great and was 200 bucks....lol. The 1450 shaft is a lil steep for my wallet, its tough looking but i dont think ill need anything like that. The 1350 should be good as long as i dont exceed the 32 degrees, maybe a limiting strap to help that.

Tom Woods 1350 shafts run around $400 and I believe free shipping. When I change t cases my front shaft is going to be a Woody.
