Just swapped my wheels and was shopping around for center caps. I still use the front auto lockers and was trying to decide if I wanted to use open center caps up front. Just like the look of the factory "4x4" emblem for nostalgia, so I didn't want to cover it up. Does any body have these and pics to show? I gave the wheel/tire combo thread a try but didn't see any.

Not real sure what you are looking for exactly. I run nothing but Weld rims on everything, and on my two Chevys I have open covers for the lockouts. You can probably find a set of good ol Welds on your local craigslist eventually, and if you have a set of rims now, you can take your closed caps you have now and bore them out with a hole saw.

Those are nice. My wheels are nowhere close to that nice. I just bought some cheap Bart chrome bullet hole steelies. What I had in mind was something basic kind of like this. The end of the lock outs are about 5.5" from the WMS. Most of the caps like this one are about 4.5" long and I didn't know if it would look awkward with them being that much shorter.

I can't see your pic but like I said you can take a set of caps and punch them out with a hole saw, or have a local machine shop do it for you. With the 4x4 auto hubs, you can just cover them up. I actually considered them so that I could run closed caps on my K5, like the new trucks, but they are not very good and want to make sure my front axle stays dis-engaged all the time, so the lockouts stayed.

It's just a straight wall design with an open end. Nothing fancy. I thought about covering them up also like you said but I'm not sure. Mine wouldn't disengage all the way once but it's my fault. When I replaced my wheel bearings, I didn't know any better and I packed the auto lockers with grease. When I go back in to swap on the 8 lug hubs, I'm going to clean most of the grease out. Thanks for the pics.
