Okay, so the Jimmy is a bit on the heavy side. She weighs in at 6780 with 3/4 fuel, hard top, DIY rack on the top, winch, dual batteries, DIY rear swing out bumper, DIY side steps, add a leafs all the way around, and 35" tires, plus most of my tools for work and spare parts. I just replaced the bushings on the sway bar to try and get rid of the body sway and it helped quite a bit. Holy crap they were bad. Brakes are good all the way around and I also just replaced the hubs since the guys who did my ball joints said they needed replaced. I think they know more about Yotas than they do Chebbies. On the way are leaf spring bushings from ORD and that should help a bit with the body roll. Just to stack the odds in my favor, I'm going to put the Jimmy on a diet. The rack is 140 lbs and when I took it off, I realized I might be able to shave 30 maybe 40 pounds on that. I have a Softtop that I will hopefully have time to install this week and that should shave another 2 or maybe 300 pounds. I can probably add a tote for just offroading that would save 50 lbs in normal daily driving. Bottom line, just trying to save weight to limit the body roll. Trying to save fuel went out the door a long, long, long time ago.

Yeah, I strip the heavy duty trail stuff out when I'm not wheeling it (axle shafts and such)

My k10 still runs in right at 6k. You're probably only gonna save a few hundred pounds

Hard top was 200 lbs. Roof rack was 140 and by the time I replaced the stock seat belts and put the soft top on, I am sitting at 6420 lbs. Progress at least but I need to go thru everything and really organize it.

Any weight up high is going to really effect body roll. You must have a ton of tools and parts in that rig to be that heavy.

Maybe 400 lbs in tools all told and maybe 200 in parts and fluids. Everything else I think has just added up. 9 qt oil system, +3 qt transmission pan, +1 pt for each differential (I think). I really need to go thru everything in the back. If I didn't carry tools and equipment for work, it probably wouldn't be so bad.

Fill the tires with helium. This should also make the vehicle amphibious.
