Opinion on my high angle drive line placement

So I got a couple drive lines off a full size GMC truck. The front drive line is a high angle made drive line with a long slip yoke and the rear was a 2500 dully drive line. Bolth have 1410 front and rear. I am tossing them in my K5 and the front high angle drive line fists perfect in my rear. So my question for you guys is should I run the high angle drive line in the rear and chop the 2500 drive line to fit the front? I know that high angle is a $900 drive line and would hold up, but should I keep it in the front because of the additional flex from the front suspension vs the rear?

I'd go front if you have springs with alot of travel.

My custom springs use 6" of slip travel up front.

My rear shaft uses maybe an inch.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same thing. Shoot, now i have to cut down two drive lines, lol.

Or if the one fits perfect in the rear and you can get away with the other cut up front, as far as slip travel and angles... Then just cut one down and leave the one alone.

The rear one you want to cut down for the front, does it have a cardan joint?

It dosent, Its just a 1410 on both ends on the front and rear drive line, and a single slip yoke, but the slip toke is longer on the high angle. Now I am really confused, lol. have 1 voter for dont use it and 1 for use it.

So I decided to get a new drive line for the front and use the high angle for the rear. I got it from Adam's drive line. They only charged me $255 shipped for a 1410 drive line with a 6" slip and thicker tubing. Pretty sweet deal, they even gave me a free shirt.

Any one ever use the precision super joints? I picked up 4 of them, they where the only one I could find local that are made in the USA and seem to be worth a damn.

Holy crap that's a wicked good deal.

Amazing deal. The drive line is nice. It has even been balanced. I don't think one could buy the parts and build it yourself for that. They list only jeep drive lines on their website but if ya call um they can make you a custom drive line. very nice guys too. They built it and shipped the the same day.
