Would a painted rear bumper and chrome front look ok, together?

my front bumper looks great, but rear bumper is rusted all to H3LL on the driver's side, where the po let the chrome flake off, and the passenger side has some rust spots. new bumpers cost more than i want to spend, and most junkyard bumpers i've seen aren't that great. plus, this one could be fun to mess with, like installing backup lights in it, or something (functional, no ricer stuff) what do you guys think, would it look stupid to paint it white (body color), black, etc. and leave the front as-is. i don't want to mess up a perfectly good chrome front bumper.

not a bad idea. i think black might look better than white though.

i'd paint them black and not worry about the rear, a flat black would look sweet. I'm debating cutting holes in mine to put in some reverse lights or i'll just mount them under the bumper and hope they don't get ripped off.

my truck came stock with a chrome front and painted silver rear. neither off them are on the truck anymore, but I didn't even think about the fact that they were different till now. up until this year new chevy work trucks came with the same combo chrome front-painted rear.

Rocks and mud make them all look the same eventually; unless you just cruise the mall. A testimony to your prowess on the trail.
