Family member is looking at buying a newer truck, he thinks this price the place is asking is too high for this truck. I don't know enough about the Dodges to say anything about them, I don't know the exterior condition, but I would assume it's in good shape.
That's kind of what I was thinking too.. just doing a quick search on Craigslist dealers section I am seeing them going for almost that, maybe around $34k-ish..
I think it's high. Seems like they're touting the options and low miles. I'm not sure what a fair price would be, but I just bought a 2011 Duramax and they tend to be on the more expensive side of the big 3.
Mine is an LT with cloth seats, no nav/sunroof etc, but still a crew cab, pw, pl, OnStar, XM, etc and I paid less than 30K. I don't think I'd pay that much for an '08 dodge. The Cummins is good and all, but damn!
Its a little high but remember they don't make as many megacabs as the other body styles. I'd say its worth low to mid 30's.
For example my dad has an 06 megacab with 53K on it. Only mods is having the KORE leveling kit and gauges. Dealers have offered him mid 30's sight unseen.
The 2500/3500 heavy duty Silverado and Sierra are brand new for 2015 model year which means possible deep discounts on brand new 2014s if your family can wait. Just another option.
