Opinions on a 83 Burb?

I have a chance to pick up a rust free 83 Burb unknown miles, TH350 and NP208 tcase with half ton axles, barn door rear doors. For $900. Looks well taken care of. I do plan on swapping 1 tons in along with a 454 and 40"+ tires with the small lift I can to make em fit. Any opinions are helpful.

I think the basic idea goes like this: if the truck is in one piece, and the drivetrain is complete and working, then it's worth a grand in parts alone.

I'd say if you can get a running, driving and rust-free rig for less than $1000, you need to hop on it.
