I was browsing summit and napa's website and see that holley remanufactures quadrajets and on summit they are actually slightly cheaper than summit's remanufactured quadrajets and seeing as holley has a alright reputation (and it is also sold by napa) I was wondering if any one has any experience with these carbs.

I don't have any experience with their q-jets but I've run a reman Holley 750 (#3310) and had real good service from it. Also, in my case, the reman had a 1 yr warranty whereas the brand new carb was only 90 days.

I personally think you have a better chance of winning the lottery, than getting one of their reman'd carbs to run correctly.

ITs hard enuff getting a holley to run right brandnew, I dont think id do a reman. my next carb will be edlebrook. Cant be any worse.

if i was gonna buy a remaned quad for a vehicle it would probably be from Jet

tho i rebuild quads all the time for the boats, i had to price out a pair last week that where just too fubared to rebuild.... they where $600 a piece! 5 yrs ago i was getting them for 300..... guess cores are getting harder and harder to come by....

jet performance was what I was originally thinking I have read a few good comments of them, but I saw the holly's and wondered. I just want a good quadrajet and since you can't get them new. Though I might check out a local company that specializes in carbs and see what they would charge. I have found a few 4mv and 4mc at pull and save I would rebuild them but the throttle shaft bushing is my concern since I don't have a drill press.

Can`t you send out your cores for re-build, and new bushing? I think Jet or someone can do it, may be cheaper. i had a Jet on my 75 from Summit it was OK, under $300 IIRC, that was a few yrs ago.

Yes you can, you can send it to Jet and they will do the work for you. Kert just had one rebuilt, but I can't remember if he already has it up and running. I know that after his experience and recomendation I would do it for Krusty's worn old Q-jet if I wasn't working on getting a newer TBI Blazer to replace her.

I had experience the holley remanufactures quadrajets and it is very nice. Try it! :D

I'm not going to go into the whole story but I went through 6 of these Holley Quadrajets before they refunded my money. They even paid a shop to install 2 of them because they thought I did something wrong...Used the cash for an edelbrock and it fired right up straight out of the box, tuned it and it worked great.

I've also ran the Jet q-jets and they worked as good as any other q-jet.
