I have an 87 v10 that I am looking to lift 4 inches and was thinking of using 34x10.5 ltbs on the truck anyone used this tire and combo? or just this tire?

my truck is a work truck which means it spends alot of time on the street but does off road if the job requires it. I pull trailers with this truck, if it requires a truck I use it.

how long do ltbs last?
what are they like in wet weather?

last of all got pics?

my friend has a set like that on his jeep. they look good and are cheap, but i wouldn't use them on a WT. they wont last long at all. He might get 20K out of them on a jeep...less on a fullsize, and a lot less on a loaded down fullsize. After going from 2 sets if bias ply to radials, radials are my only choice from here on out for the street. just my 2 cents.

they are bad ass off road........ but like said before very soft tread compound.......and they should make some bigger sizes

I wish they made a good ol' 35/12.5/15 or 16. The price seems good, but the sizes are real odd balls!

I had the 33x13.50x15's on my TJ and then put them on my K5. They rode like crap and wore down pretty fast. Great off road and ok in the rain. If you're going to be seeing any street time you need radials. It having a V10, I'm assuming it's at least a 3/4 right? If you need an aggressive tread, I believe BFG makes their M/T in a heavier rated class. Be worth a shot to check out.

its a v10 like your truck...88-91 blazers were designated v10, not k5.

and how many miles did you have on those 33? i noticed 2 were pretty worn when i popped by to look at the 42s a while back.

Im runnin 33x13.5x16 LTB's on my 83 K20. Ive had em on since Apr. Ive got about 1500 miles on them and they still look relatively new. They arent much of a street tire, like said above and they are soft and relatively cheap. I also to wish they came in like 35's or so. They work extremely well offroad, i would expect to maybe get like 20,000 miles out of em. But for the cost of them, they are a pretty big bang for your buck. Would i buy them again? Yes, if they came in 35's.

OK, gotcha! I knew mine was a V10 but when you hear it, it sounds like a V10 motor. :haha:

The 2 that were pretty worn believe it or not, have about 30k on them. They got most of their life on my TJ. The 2 newer ones I bought when I put them on my Blazer. Whitehead screwed up one dismounting it from the other wheels so I just bought 2 to match. They have about 10k on them.

thanks guys, but I am going with a set of 285 75 16 pro comp mts on late model take off wheels.

so far the truck is getting the floor bedlined , 4" lift, and 285s along with a new paintjob

I will keep you posted
