Howdy,

I have pretty much finalized this parts combo with my builder. Thoughts?

400 Short Block with cast flat tops
64CC/170CC Edelbrock Performer Heads
Performer Intake
Crane Z Cam 218/230 459/486
Stock Q-Jet
Heddman Headers/2.5 Duals
TH 350 built up with 2200 Stall
3.07 gears
26.7" rear tire diameter

I want a tire smoking toy. It will see about 10 interstate miles a year. 3.73s or 4.11s when cash allows-maybe next summer.

Thanks,
Scott

I assume by the cam spec's you are looking for low-end respons and torque.

It should have a pretty tame idle too, making it an easy driver.

Seems like a fun combo that will just be freaking great with 3:73's this summer.

get the hyperurectic (spelling?) pistons. Cast ones are cast out of round then expand when they heat up, which leaves a gap till it heats up. Hyper... pistons do not expand IIRC or they expand very little. Hyper pistons also have superior wear characteristics. I used speedpro's in mine with the graphite coated skirts. Me likes.
