Optima Date Code Help

I need to know how to read an Optima Redtop date code. The code is:

J14F

Call interstate battery and ask them. They will tell you how to read it, at least they did for me some time ago. But I didn't write it down. sorry!

usually the date code is only a letter and number, the letter designates the month and the letter the year. For instance a J2 would be (J)=October, (2)=2002

You do however have to be realisitic about the year portion of the code though. The J2 would highly unlikely be October of 1992.

however when you munch a hole in the side of the battery or a fan attacks it it becomes hard to read it..or if the battery completly falls out and you run it over while rolling forward /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

first # year last digit of year
next 3 # day of year
ex. 32110875644 3= 2003 211= jun 23
