howdi yall

I just bought a 79 serria grande 3/4 ton truck. The plan was to use the axles in my 1987 shortbed for better brakes while towing

Then the gears in my mind thought "hey you have a set of 35s and 15x10 wagon wheels sitting in the garage, why not lift your truck and use your tires up" ( the gear ratio with 35's would equil the same as my truck has stock! and my truck turns 2100 ish at 55 mph)

Next thing I thought was "this truck has an "ok" body why not put an engine tranny t case in it and use it for pulling" (down side is that now I two trucks and one car = mad wife!)

what are anyones thoughts how can I us this truck I bought for good and keep the truck I have now?

Fix the washer and buy momma a new vacuum cleaner.....rofl
then she wont mind the extra truck, it worked for me.

i dont know what to tell ya neighbor, my wife is the same way
and i just have to distract her long enough to figure things out.

how did you know her washer and vac were broke?

last night I found a k30 with a utility bed that looked decent I may check-into buying. I wont feel guilty about selling my truck if I can get one in as-good-as shape.

The K30 would be the "piece de resistance" with those Dana 60's
and that HD running gear.

I remember seeing a pic of a 1 ton with dually's at both ends....awesome!

I hope it has a big block so you can build a "torque monster"
