I am getting a little closer to starting the solid axle swap on this whale. I am going for a little bit of a previous body style look. Solid front axle, steel wheels with rings and caps, and a 2 tone paint scheme.

My question is, do I go with blue on top and bottom with white down the middle?
Or do I go with white top/bottom with blue down the middle?

My dad will be the one painting and me helping, therefore he would like the latter. (Easier)

Which would have more of the, dare I say, retro look? (I hate the word retro)

Hell, i say stay white.

Reminds me of Jason Payne's truck, may he rest in peace.

Look up and photo shop some photos of his old rig if you want a good idea what it will look like.

I've seen it a lot. This is going to be a tow rig.

I like the "retro" color scheme.

I also despise of darker colors on bigger rigs as it's a PITA to clean/keep clean.

My last tow rig (now ThatK30guys's) was charcoal gray. That was easy to hide dirt. I also live on a gravel road (only 1/2mile long) so I will just have to get use to the dirt.

Someone has a pic of the 2015 Hd with a paint job like that. Should look good

White middle, blue top and bottom, no red.

Martin

No no no no, no red at all, not a fan of red.

The interior is that wonderful royal blue color, so I wanted to go with a blue/white combo.

Maybe a silver pinstripe to separate the blue/white top line. And I am buying new moldings for the bottom.

I kinda like the darker blue more......less flashy. I want the truck to look good/clean, but not so attention grabbing or show truck look. Functional and nice.
