This christmas I'm going to be purchasing a ORD shackle flip to eliminate my rear blocks. I'm also going to be ditching my bodylift (3in). I'm running 36" tires and my goal was to add another 1-2" of suspension ontop of my 4" spring kit.

I was going top use generic 1.5" lift shackles up front and ORD's extended HD shackles in the rear. How much lift can I expect from the flip/extended shackles in the rear?

I expect to be netting about 5" up front with the 4" springs and 1.5 lift shackles.

1.5" lift using shackles in the front is going to throw your caster angle way to far off.

Remeber that when using longer shackles you only get half of their extra length in lift. So if the shackle is 1.5" longer than stock you are only going to lift the suspension 3/4".

To get 5" of front lift I would suggest using a zero rate instead of the shackles. This will give you some options on axle location as well as 1" of lift.

For the rear you are right on with the 4" flip kit and the six inch super shackle you will actually net about 6" of lift total. This should look right with 5" of lift up front using the 4" spring and zero rate.

O true thats a much better idea. I'll get the later model HD shackles and a zero rate to slide the axle forward. I need to find a tech article on installing them. I've read it over on the site but havent wrapped my head completely around it...

It gets easier to understand the Zero rate install procedure once you have them in your hands as well.

Hope everything works out the way you want

Shackle flip and 6'' shackles with 1'' zero rate=6'' lift. Thats what i have in the rear with 6'' springs in the front.

The 6" long shackles are 6" center to center, compared to a 4" shackle, they'll lift the truck 1" (1/2" the extra length).

Broken record: 6" rear shackles with 4" flip and zero rates should net 6" of lift.
