Had a chance to take the new buggy out for it's maiden voyage on Die Trying and cactus II in Montrose for the first time since ORD did the buggy conversion. What a differance being about 1,400 pounds lighter and a few feet narrower make on the trail, it performed better than I thought it would.
For those of you who do not know, this buggy was a full bodied 1990 K5 Blazer.
After the body started to look like mashed potatoes it was time to remove it for better off road ability not to mention less breakage, here are a few current pics with what we have so far. Still much to do including body panels, lights etc. but it can wheel now and that is a good thing.
The buggy also features the new ORD rear 4-link suspension as well, I can tell you that it is much easier on those bumpy fire roads than the leaf setup, if you have any questions about having a buggy or suspension made for you give ORD a call (970-945-7777) to see what they can do for you.
Some more pics in various stages of buildup.
