ORD or DIY

Sky is another good company to deal with, great people in person too. dropped what they were doing when i showed up at the shop just to chat about the new SFA setup. :waytogo:

I bought the DIY flip because I liked the plate shackles. Having said that I have done more business with ORD than DIY and both are great to do business with. It really comes down to what features you are looking for. Quality wise I think both are equal. I would recommend buying the HD shackles from ORD if you do decide to go with their flip as the stock ones are kinda weak in a compression application.

DIY4x all the way...If i thought i could get any cash for my ord flip (had to "modify" it a good bit for 63s...) id sell it and buy the DIY one. Im hating the fact that i need slightly longer shackles (something in the 7.5" neighborhood) and i can't easily make them...

I've dealt with ORD a whole lot, & almost every part going on my project is a ORD part. I've always liked their customer service. Kert is awesome as well. He built an engine x-member for me and is now a full blown production. If DIY made more stuff for the Gen1 K5s, I'd use more of their products. However, for the price and availability of products for model, I'd go with DIY. I wonder how Kert will revolutionize the doubler...lol. just a matter of time......
