im looking to do a shackle flip on my 77 k10 to put cucv springs in the rear because they sag like no other but im unsure who to go with. both of the kits look great. id like to hear from people who have both. right now i have the factory 52" on the rear w/ a 4" lift block. it has 6 leaves and the new springs will have 10 or 12 leaves. will i still need to run the lift blocks when i do the spring swap?

They are both identical in funtion but with a different shackle setup and "look". With the ORD's you can use a stock shackle, ORD heavy duty or a DIY shackle. The DIY buckets use two side by side style shackles or a welded HD style shackle (one piece). They will both give you the exact same result. It comes down to personal preferance. I have ORD's for my burb and DIY's for my K5. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

does sky mfg have a website? i just want something that will hold up in the long run and something that i can tow with without any problems. im kinda leaning towards kerts work over ord as of now.

DIY. Shackle length changes are easy and cheap. Tech support is awesome and they stand behind their stuff.

I have the ORD and am very happy with them. With that said, I like the DIYs with the strap between the bolts, kind of spreads the load out some in my mind. Also, the more universal shakcle with the DIY kit is nice.

You can't go wrong with either.

i was thinking the same thing with the diy kit. the strap between the bolts spread out the load and reduce frame stress. the sky kit isn't bad either. can i run 56" in the back with the ord kit, the diy kit, and the sky kit?

hmmm, i want to get heavier duty springs and i want a little bit more lift, but i don't plan on keeping my half ton frame so im not too worried if i crack the frame. at the same time i don't want to buy parts that i can't use over again on my new 1 ton frame

im not sure if i want the overload springs with the springs pads because i still want some flex. i just want the 10 leaves with the two thick leaves at the bottom
