Just wondering if I were to install the Bolt-in kit and deside at some later date to also install the weld-in kit, would I have any problems. Like do they need to be installed in any order?

I would do the weld in kit first. You dont HAVE to, but its best to do it BEFORE you get frame damage. I waited till the bolt and spacer came thru the frame before i got the weld in kit. I actually got it yesterday and will be putting it in this week. Im gonna have a blast getting it to fit flush on the frame after all that welding and grinding i did to repair the cracks and holes.

well mine isn't cracked and I just went ahead and ordered the bolt-on kit a few hours ago. I figure it will keep me in the clear for now. I'm only running 33X12.5's and only do mild off-roading. I will probably add the weld on kit sometime down the road once my truck is built to handle more!

The bolt in brace will help protect the frame more than anything.

The weld in kit is to help strengthen a weakened/cracked frame.

Everyone that wheels a K-series truck should have a steering brace. The weld in repair is only necessary if you have already noticed cracks in the frame IMO.

I will disagree some what. I ran the Bolt on kit first for years. Then added hydro assist down the road. Still with no cracks. After a couple big wheeling trips this year I had two cracks. So I then put the weld on kit on.

If you have the $$$ do both at the same time, do it.

If not run the bolt on until you see cracks.

Yes, you can put the bolt on one in first and the weld on later. I ran the bolt on for 2 years then did the weld on when I put the hydro assist in.
