I'm not sure I know what the differance is between the 73-80 and 80-88 brace support kits. What is the clip?

the difference is in the smaller bracket, the way it bolts to the frame

Can the 80-89 be made to work with the 73-80? I have the kit for the older model. I'm not sure what modification is needed. Please explain the differances in the smaller bracket.

73-80 frame hole is 1 big one.
81-up is 2 little holes.

so yes it will work just need to mod the hole or holes the way you want and go from there.

did you buy the 81-and up and need the 73-80? because i have the 73-80 and need the 81- and up

if thats the case you 2 just need to swap out the little bracket.
