ORD twin stick questions (new style TH400 adapter)

You can either tweak the bends in the shifters, grind the adapter, or grind a bit off of the shifters to clear the adapter.

No two adapters are created equal so you might have something a bit different from the norm.

To make the shifters line up with each other when in the same range adjust the length of the shift linkage on one of the levers.

It look like you need to lower the inside shift linkage to the next lower hole in the shifter. That will make the linkages somewhat at the same angle.

I would but the linkage is non adjustable (welded). The pictures in the instructions show a different style linkage that is/was adjustable (the one's I was just shipped are not). The linkage seems to be a better design with heims on each end (the originals only had a heim on one end), the problem is they thread a male heim into a female heim and then weld them (no adjustment).

When I first installed them I had it in a lower hole that kept it on the same plane as the other linkage, but the shifters would not sit side by side when in neutral. I would have just adjusted the linkage but as stated above the new linkage is non-adjustable....

If the sticks aren't suppose to sit side by side in Neutral, that would answer my question, but if they are suppose to (which is how I understood it), with the current linkage, I'm forced to leave one at an extreme angle. If that's the way it is, that's OK, I was just looking for confirmation from those that have been down this road before (unless I'm the first with this style adapter and the new style linkage....)

The linkage is also the same length for both rails (like posted in the NP203 picture on their new site). If one was supposed to be longer/shorter, that would explain it as well....

If the linkage is welded then I don't know.

Sorry.

I always try to make the shifters line up in each range. H N L

Maybe try giving Stephen a call

Thanks for trying to help, I appreciate it.

I will call Stephen tomorrow. I didn't want to bother him if it was something I was doing wrong, I hoped someone who had been in my shoes could answer.......
