I've done a couple of them for some other guys, and they are a pain in the arse IMO. But I suppose it's better than the alternative. I've seen some scary pictures of trashed frames.
Those pics are accurate compared to what I remember. The only thing I tried different the second time was putting bolts throught the steering box mounting holes. Helped suck it down and line up the holes properly.
I also enlarged the holes used for plug welds. That gave more area to weld the bracket to the frame.
Yup, they need a bit of love to get em on there right...which is why it's called 'fitting'. Good idea on the plug weld holes Scott, a lot less chance of not getting enough fusion there if the holes are opened up a little.
