I just bought a 89 GMC Jimmy. What is the best website for ordering parts. More worried about quality then price (within reason). I’ve checked out the following sites, but I have no clue the quality of parts/customer service.

carparts.com
Jegs.com (I’ve used years ago)
Summitracing.com (I’ve used years ago)
Classicparts.com
Lmctruck.com
Azproperperformance
Brothers parts (doesn’t seem to go past 88????)

I would prefer to order from one or 2 sites without having to trial and error quality/convenience ordering. Mostly interior parts for now.

I’m sure this questions has been asked a bunch of times, but I can’t find any recent threads on it.

This is what I can add to this brother. I have ordered interior parts from usa1 and the quality is really good pricy ,but good. However right now there back order list is nuts. I've been waiting on door panels for about 6 months, and I'll have to wait another 2 untill I might see them.

Depends on what parts you are looking for. Rock Auto has AC Delco and such. Good prices, just pay attention to who makes the part. Hard to go wrong with GM parts for your GM truck. They often post a discount code here too. Interior, resto type stuff might be kind of hard right now.

I have used LMC for some things, but it depends on what it is. Classic Industries has been good for everything that we have ordered, but can be a little expensive. Rockauto and 1aauto.com for whatever I can find there. Carparts.com has things, but seem to be more money. It is a hassle to jump around looking, but it can pay off with the end result.
You have to watch what you get from Jegs.com and Summit if it isn't engine related. Got some window wipe seals for an '01 GMC and they were nothing, like original.

Summit over Jegs.
Jegs shipped me an opened return one time, paid for new, they say the have in stock then back order it, this is way before current back order crisis.
Summit get stuff shipped fast 2 days is very common.
Rock auto is a great source. I have bought all my interior seat covers carpet, a/c components, plus from them.
Stuff I have ordered from lmc has been so so.
Gmc Paul's, member here, weather strip, Precision brand is agreed best choice.
Post up some pictures, we all dig pictures, most us can't read

Thanks man! I definitely want to use GM parts when possible. Power windows motors/regulators are top of my list. What site do you recommend for those? I’ve found them on several, but some sites have very little info what trucks they work for.

I'll just say if you are ordering any performance parts from Summit/Jegs or similar, I would be grateful if you check with me first. I only stock intakes and EFI myself, but my distributors stock thousands of parts and ship them out quickly. I also am direct with Holley group, Edelbrock group, Howards cams, American Racing headers, etc.

I'll give you a straight up answer if I can get it or not, and what price. Or maybe where to get it if I can't.

I got motors for my regulators from Rockauto. I bought ACDelco ones, even though they were made in China. But my regulators were in decent shape, just needed cleaning up and fresh grease. Did the same with the tracks in the door and on the window. Fresh seals made it tight enough that the motors were struggling, so I did the relay modification. Supposedly the LMC relay harness works well, but I have no experience with it.

I can attribute to the relay mod. It makes a world of a difference then the oem wiring.

Brothers, LMC, motorcityk5, classic industries

I've done them all. Really don't notice a difference. I go with whoever is cheaper and in stock.

When it comes to LMC Truck you better know more about the part you are ordering than they do. All the people at LMC are only order takers, and have no technical staff at all.

That sounds like 99% of auto parts stores, if they can't look it up on the computer, then its pointless.

Since 2 guys have mentioned Brothers, let me ask, how did you have the patience to place an order? I tried to call them twice because I had a couple of questions, and gave up after being on hold for over 10 minutes each time.
And @DB Cooper said that he had problems with them, so I am guessing that a problem exists.
They may have some unique things, I don't know, I went where someone would answer the phone.

I email Brothers. They seem to answer within a day or two. Also never had issues with them. They forget to pack some parts once and once contracted they sent out replacements with one day shipping

Ya , I won't wait a day or two to find out answers, or if it's in stock.
I have seen too many times where something gets sold while waiting for someone to find out if it's in stock. More so with the trucks at work, so I stick with that mentality.

Thanks for all the recommendations guys! Unfortunately you just added more websites for me to have to sort through, haha. Glad to find our Rock Auto sells AC Delco.

I won’t be buying anything along those lines for awhile, but I’ll reach out to you when I do! Thanks!
