Orielly's and spicer

So does Advance Auto (I think Oreilly, Checkers and Advance are really the same chain), but do any of them actually stock them? If one near you does, that's a good resource. Some NAPAs do. If you can't have it today, pay less at RockAuto or Amazon and it comes to your door, rather than drive to the store twice. Sometimes the only way to get Spicers locally is a driveline shop.

At NAPA, look up TWD part numbers. TWD seems to be the distributor. All of them I've gotten were real Spicer in red boxes.

Also beware the difference between Spicer blue box and red box. Some online stores list the regular part number, but ship the blue box "SVL" parts, which are not regular Spicer joints at all. The 1350 I got today was in stock and in a red box with spicer on the caps. Wished I would have known before buying all the precision ones that only last a year........

I am very fortunate. WFO is a 15 minute drive from my work. They always have plenty spicer joints in stock. The local Oreilly's could put their entire stock in my wife's closet.

Sounds like you're pretty close to where I am.

For reference, the SVL joint looks like any other brand, while the classic (good) Spicer has the round body (for most part numbers) and stampings on the caps.
