Orientation of '85 K5 Custom tailgate rod/part

Can anyone tell me how this part attaches in the taigate? I know where it attaches and have ordered the screws
but I am at a loss as to when and where it goes, I believe this part prevents the tailgate from closing
with the window extended. I will include a photo of the part:

So I see the picture now, but it's been a long time since I have been inside a tailgate so without a little digging I can't answer now.
I don't have a k5 anymore but I think the suburban tailgate is the same so maybe if no one has answer by tomorrow I will open mine up and check.
At first I thought it was the spring at the hinges, but that has a circular end, this one doesn't. I know it's supposed to trigger the switch on the side of tailgate so you can't move the glass when the gate is open.

thanks iceman, mine is a manual tailgate, but yeah looks ike i can order the screws from lmc and have at it if i knew where
to lay it out, any help mucho appreciado!

It's still a defeat system so it should freewheel when the gate is open.

You can see it in the middle of this picture, but LMC doesn't really have it in the right place (#24 and #25 hold it in place). The top of your bent part hooks into the rotating latch thing in the center of the tailgate. The other end goes to a metal bracket sort of deal that the bottom window sash pushes down when the window is bottomed out. It's spring loaded so it defaults to up/latched, which may be #22, but I remember it being down in the bottom of the tailgate, not where it sits in the diagram.
