Hi
The RPO Code Sticker is missing on my 83 Jimmy. I'm now looking for the rpo codes and the original color of my K5. There are layers of red, black and blue. So I don't know the original color. I already asked GM Archives and they were able to give me the orginal invoice:

Can anyone read more information out of that invoice?

Just looking at that list "solid paint" and "19 Black Solid" would lead me to believe the whole thing was black.
Sadly, "19" could have referred to many shades of black over the years.

Ok call the chevy dealership and ask what part of the vin you need to give them to get your paint code! Then take this to a body shop or supply!

Sadly unless something has changed the dealer won’t be much help. I want to say 7 or 8 years back when I was at my dealer GM dropped the older vins out of the parts catalog database. At the time when I found it they had dropped everything from 2000 model year and earlier. I would expect as years progress the post 2000 years will drop off too.

What the OP did by going through GM heritage site is about the only way to get anything now.

Ok that sucks! This might help you. Do you have the build sheet or the RPO sheet it would've have been in the glove box like mine. If you look on the bottom right (like the one in the picture I sent you) you will see 119L that is your paint code. It tells what the paint is.
