I just bolted my new wheels on and I'm confused about the dog dish hubcaps caps.
I removed the locking hubs and installed drive flanges a few weeks ago. During the install I was thinking the hubs looked kinda long for a hubcap. Sure enough I got the hubcaps in the mail and they are way to shallow to cover the hub.
Didn't the stock setup in 73 have 15x8 steel wheels and dog dish caps covering the hubs?

I don't recall seeing hubcaps that cover the lock out from the factory. How would you lock the hubs?

On the full time 4x4 models you wouldn't have a hub to switch.

For some reason I thought the full time 4x4s had full hub caps. OK I guess I'll look for caps with holes. Thanks

The three quarter tons did. The half ton's did not. The hub sticks out further from the wheel mounting surface on a half ton than it does on a three quarter ton.

See how the later half ton caps have a cone like the K30 front caps?

The standard stock steel wheel was 15"x6". If you ordered a certain tire, it included a 15"x8" steel wheel, but they are pretty rare in my experience. The M1009 CUCV D10 Blazers used the 15"x8" standard steel wheel.

Look in the brochures here for 73 and see if you like what was offered.

Ok that's probably why I'm confused. Thanks.

Yup it looks like the hub is sticking out past the hubcap.
