Dont know if itll fit. but why not go true duals? I would just have a muff shop work on your setup, last thing you need to deal with is ill fitting parts etc.
 
I think just do true duals. It's what I run and it sounds good. So I think save your money
 
flowmaster ypipe unit and then custom exaust shop to build the rest for me. and its built around the rest of the driveline then with no problems.
 
Jus curious why you want to run single? Ive actually thought about dumping my headers and going back to manifolds, but I just got a killer deal (FREE!!) on some ceramic coated headers that Ill probably just throw on there.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that a single 3" exhaust will make more torque than a dual 2.5". I ran a single because I just didnt have enough room for a dual exhaust
 
yup, your right...

single 3" can definitally provide more torque in some apps.. not to mention it's the ONLY LEGAL CHOICE for many...

as much as the ancient hotrodder in me loves duals with a x-over, yada, yada, I'll be running single 3" on my rig...

not to mention it's generally cheaper...

American84K5- do you have a lift, or sitting at stock height? On my rig, IK actually had to run dual pipes to back to behind my t-case and have my Y there (wasn't any other way it would fit and still give good ground clearance). I have 3" single out and it sounds nice and is tucked up so I (hopefully) can't hit it.
 
Ive got to get my exhaust done, so where to get the Y pipe? I wouldnt mind going quieter and going single exhaust.

if so, heck, you can run to the local parts place and get a factory replacement y-pipe, cat, muffler, tailpipe, etc...
 
Well, I want my truck quieter and its just a 305 and I dont me going to any high performance motor any time soon. I want simplicity as well. Infact unless I get a smokin deal on a 350 Ill probably just have my 305 refresheded up.

I'm stock right now.

The ypipe on it now (don't know if its stock) runs under the d-shaft

Here's some pics of my setup, it's a couple 2.5" bends ("j" and "u") that go into a dual 2.5 in/single 3" out flowmaster merge pipe then into a 3" in/out Thrush dual chamber muffler then a turnout just in front of the rear spring mount. I think I have less than $100 in this exhaust.

Nice!!! I was thinking about having it done like that over just buying some pipes.

Run the crossover under the tranny and into my current location.
Do the pipes cause any tranny overheating problems?
