I bought a Fein Multimaster years ago, just about the time their patent ran out and the market exploded with other options. There were a couple others that had just come onto the market but none of them had a track record. So anyway I bit the bullet and bought the Fein. It's been great tool and my only complaint has been the cost of replacement blades, and how difficult it is to find them when you wreck one in the middle of a job.
Today I heard some good news on that front. Rockwell's version has a universal mounting head that takes all major brands of blades. But what's even better is that Rockwell's blades will fit the Fein and most other brands of oscillating tools. The Rockwell blades are cheaper and since Lowes has them in stock I can make a quick run to the store, mid project, if needed. That is a lot better than having to go across town to the wood working store (not open nights or Sunday anyway) or wait on mail order to show up.
Hope this info helps someone.
