I'm redoing my suspension in the front of my toy. i was eyeing my 57" fords and mounting them short side forward as to not move the wheelbase so much.
Is there a such thing as having too long of a spring up front?
whats going to be the softest set up? I could do a long sharp angled shackle.
the stock springs on this thing are like 44ish long and the thing to do is a wagoneer set up or a s-10 hydrid spring pack. Or doing rears up front which are 52" long. i thinking (just like I did on the willys) was since I'm building mounts as might as well build it once and build it for a nice long 56 or 57 long spring.
the rear is a 64" chevy with a 3/4 eliptic main leaf off of a s-10 pack.
this is my sand and mud toy and the rear does have.. will be getting pins to lock out the 3/4 eliptic set up. just trying to go for soft to compete in a tough truck arena race in August.
