It looks like you got a deal on the $1000 K5. I don't envy you for having to roll that engine hoist on the ground and in the snow!

As said above, I don't envy you either for dragging and pushing that cherry picker thru the muddy ground.

And I was complaining to my wife that I had to fire up the stove in my shop to work on the Jimmy. I will no longer complain. You are hard core.

i dont mind the cold that much, after getting the first engine out i realized that plywood was the ticket, but still by myself it hasnt been the most fun project ive taken on the today i actually had to put the wheels back on the new truck and move it. it was on a hill passenger side high, drivers side low. when all that weight gets into the air the engine wants to tip the engine hoist over, almost lost the drivers fender trying to get the good engine in. JpEater i hope it was a good deal, i will have to see what else it needs once i get it running apparently it was sitting for 5 years when i bought it. GotLabs thanks for reposting the pics for me!

Damn, thats hardcore. If I lived close, Id give ya a hand, but then again im pretty comfy inside with the A/C on. :D

that "old one" wasnt beat up she has been round the world and carried her scars proudly. looks arent inportant to me its function and ability that i am looking for in a vehicle so, to answer that question i guess my right foot isnt going to get any lighter with a new truck just cause the paints pretty

ah ok, just wondering, cuz some people just start w/ a beater to beat on.. others dont cuz its just there style of wheeling! either way enjoy, i understand the outdoor work area... and man is it fun..:doah:

man o man do I know how you feel. I have been doing all my wrenching outside for many years, plenty of times in the bad weather. One of these days I will have a garage. The new truck looks good for a grand.
I will be in medford New Jersey on friday, let me know if that is close to you and i can give you a hand if you need.
