I used to use 104+ Octane Booster(in motorcycles), as it was the only product available overseas, but all it ever seemed to do was make my plugs red. Now I am practically forced to use octane booster in every tankfull of gas(so I can keep the timing advanced) and the 104+ stuff again does NOTHING.
The guy at Checker suggested Outlaw Octane Booster, and it seems to work. Not only work, BUT, it's half the price of 104+.
Could it be, I have found a product that actually works, and is half the price of the competition??????
Is that possible in this politically correct world????????
Somehow it seems like that's wrong, as nothing works good and is cheaper than the competition.
Anyone have any recommendations for other octane booster products readily available?

Get a copy of the December 2001 issue of Hot Rod Magazine. There is an article about octane boosters starting on page 38.

I've heard from the older gear heads that you can add 1 quart of rubbing alcohol to 15 gallons of gas.? anyone heard that one before?

I use Outlaw products too . I use the octaine boost in my boat and the injector cleaner in my vehicles. Its good stuff. It seems to bure very clean without those red deposits.

Yes you can use rubbing alcohol (methal alcohol]) in gas. It will help if you have a detonation problem or pinging. Also puting about a quart in 5 gals of gas in a enpty tank will usually get you running clean enough to get past the smog check.

Yeah, but usually to make the vehicle run clean enough to pass emissions. It's more like 25% alcohol that you run.

Why insist on counting when the ring gear has the tooth counts stamped in?

"Dry Gas" is mostly just rubbing alcohol
