Still in the process of converting from a th350 to th400/208 transfer case. I have located an adapter housing off a member here and its on its way. The adapter is 2 1/2" thick, therefore i need to replace the output shaft on the 400 to a shorter one. (the tranny came with an output shaft of 4" sticking past the rear of the case which is really for a th350/208 setup.)
The input on the 208 is already a 32 spline but that doesnt matter now that the output on the 400 is too long anyways. What im looking for is a shaft length for this application from any tranny techs or those who have done this already. if i could get a measurement from the tranny rear case to the end of the output shaft or, even better, a part number that would be great.
