Outstanding off road knowledge...

ya, ive done that a couple times, some guys say its really dangerous and stupid to do. when i do it, i take out the core of the valve stem so the air has somewhere to escape and soon as its done "popping" onto the bead, run over with the air hose and fill it to the correct PSI then screw in the core real quick.

Found this in the internet thouth id share it.

Im guessing the fire he creates sucks air in

o ya, and how it works... its just like a little "explosion" inside the tire that pushes it onto the bead. thats y i take out the valve core so it has some way of escaping and u have to get the air hose on it QUICK cause the tire will start to suck itself off the bead again because there isnt a lot of air in there. its just the "explosion" that does it. then after thats over. theres actually a vacuum in the tire because theres no air in it.

I work for a paving company and we do it that way whenever a piece of equipment loses a bead. Works every time and not that big of a deal.

done it plenty of times at home, the shop or a trail, works well, just watch out!

:D

Never done a truck tire that way, have done two VW tires.. it works :D Just be fast on the compressor.

The explosion stops as soon as the oxygen runs out, which is as soon as the bead seats.

I could see bubba light himself on fire doing this with the cigarette dangling outta his mouth :haha:
