Lets start off by mulling over the fact that I have 40" tires six inch suspension lift and three inch body lift. Now for the problem, Whenever I go to drive it on the road and get to speeds in excess of 25mph the car starts to outta control steer left and right but I'm holding the wheel perfectly straight its like someone is steering the car left and right but I"m not moving the steering wheel. There is alot of play in the steering wheel when I go to turn any direction. Any Ideas?

Check where the box mounts on the frame. Make sure it is not cracked causing the box to be loose and flop all over the place. Check the above as well.

What he is describing does not sound like death wobble to me. death wobble is a fast violent shake... not a loose steering kind of thing like what he is describing.

Hmm, after I read it again, your right. Sorry. Well it sort of sounds like it to me, but not that bad. Maybe unbalanced tires then. Does the truck shake a lot but the steering wheel only a little?

Try adjusting the steering gear. Loosen the lock nut, then tighten the adjusting screw until it stops. Then loosen the adjusting nut about 3/8 of a turn and lock the thing down. That should take care of the gear. Other issues can be all of the above and also loose ball joints. Once you get everything snug get it aligned, they can add caster to help it steer straight on the highway.

He's not saying its got a shake or wobble... more like loose steering. Like the wheels are turning and the steering wheel is not. Sounds just lke plain out worn steering components.

Maybe even really bad wheel bearings, but I hope not. Cause if they are that bad, next is a wheel falling off.

How far out is your caster angle? What does your drag link angle look like? Cross over steering?
