Anyone have a source for an overhead mount for a stereo? Looking to do a mount similar to a cb braket, but having a mount for a cd/stereo. Like something the stereo would slide into, but mounted to a braket.. Not sure if that makes sense.

them actually sound pretty good with the right speakers

I didnt either, but I test drove a truck with one in it once:rolleyes::D Had kenwoods in it and a pair of 10's.

I believe its removable. and it flops out of the way if you set it to flip down. I seen one like it on a flat boat that was spring loaded. wasnt the same brand probably but real similar design.

Anything is better than the stock location. I thought I'd also seen someone who cut one in above the heater controls, like where the cubby or heat vent is, depending on the model you have...

There is one out there that i have seen where its just almost like a stereo cover. Its very small and slightly angled.

I got the LMC truck headliner. Love it! Pulling it out of the GMC and into the blazer soon. I have my CB radio mounted in it's center slot. Only problem ive had with it is the cab light cover tends to melt if left on for too long. Also wiring it all up is a PITA!
