No the sending unit is not the in-tank fuel pump style.

HOLY SH**!!! thanks a huge tank...how much does it hang below a normal k5 tank???

it hangs 10 inches below the frame rail. I think the stock it like 8 or 8.5 inches.
Also forgot to mention the sending unit is brand new, only ran a few gallons with it before the tank was pulled.
