I have an 83 k5 converting to tbi where on the exhaust is the proper placement for the oxygen sensor. any help greatly appreciated.

As close to the exhaust manifold as you can get it. Stock on blazers is right under the left side ex manifold.
If you change from the single wire 02 to a a heated 3 wire sensor you can place it almost anywhere between the manifold and the cat convertor. If you dont have a cat you should still place it as close to the EX manifold as possible.
