P/S pump from a 6.2 work on a 91 k5??

The 6.2 pump has two returns on the can and is probably set up for a remote reservoir (not a screw on cap on the actual pump, but a nipple for a hose). The flow ratings is also likely different since it was meant for hydroboost.

But in any case you could probably make it work. You can plug off one of the returns and figure out how to put cap on it.

I'm in the process of doing this now with my steering box. '88 6.2 steering box into a '91 350 K5.The boxes look identical other than the fittings and they swap out fairly easy.

I know you said pump. But I thought I'd just throw this in there to tell you that the steering box components seem to be similar.

Is the powersteering fluid different in a 6.2?
I also have to do a search on bleeding and flushing the system with new fluid. Never done that before.

i need the truck back asap.. so i bought one. 52 for a ac delco. what a friend said was get the wheels off the ground. pull the one line going back to the pump off. fill it up as it runs and someone turns the wheel. keep going to you see new flud come out. put the line on. turn the steering to get the air out. hope that helps

it helps some. I don't know how old the power steering fluid is so I figured I'd put all new fluid in.

So with everything reconnected (steering box bolted in and fittings attached) unplug the line going back to the pump? and just run it, filling it up until I see new fluid? Correct?
