Anyone had any experience with this code? It is cylinder 6 misfire. I am just fixin it to sell the truck so I want to replace as little as possible. New plugs didnt help. Whats next distributor cap and wires?

changed fuel filter, checked fuel pressure and it was 60 psi so the fuel pump should be good. Changed cap, rotor, plugs and wires and I do have spark. 12 volts to all injectors and all injectors read 11.2 ohms (shouldnt it be 0)? Still buggin. Have yet to check compression. I also read that a misfire could be do to a plugged poppet or a sticking valve. So new gas with additive and new oil with additive are next.

Could this have something to do with the truck sitting for a little over a month in the cold? It was fine before it sat.

Water in the gas maybe?

Mike

It keeps throwin the same code though so I think it has somethin to do with that specific cylinder.

I figured I would go ahead and replace the number six injector. When I pulled off the upper manifold I noticed this. Not sure what it means, if its even bad, but I thought I would ask some of you fellas before I got to much farther. Thanks

The upper left (six cylinder) galley thing there is full of oil, when none of the others are.

BTW 140,000 miles.

Vortec engines are notorious for intake leaks, I would've checked for vacum leaks before removing the intake manifold.

I replaced the number six fuel injector and the misfire jumped to cylinder 5. This has to mean something. Any ideas??
