Anybody know where i can find some paddle tires for my truck, 15" wheels.

Thinking of going out to Glamis and want to go prepared.

you dont really need paddles for glamis if its 4x4 and aired down i run up olds with my old tired 350 in the burb,
stokish trucks do it as well,
Call fullerton sand tire ( they are in garden grove) and be prepaired to spend some money and talk these guys are some of the most knoligable around, alot of those tires listed are for racing or light I>I sand rails and will not hold up to a full size.
you're best bet it to find some worn out bias plys in good sidewall condition and have them buffed and have paddles glued on skattrak does it. alot of the high horsepower guys, prerenners, and truggys , (including roggy gordon) are doing this.
Alot run projects which can be had especially in chula look for a 35 or 33 project bfg they will come out larger oce buffed and paddles installed.
if you are building a hill shotter racer super luight tons of power over a thousand then i would say paddles or a prerunner otherwise you are fine with 4x4 i drive around in 2x in the dunes and get around fine.

Won't his truck bog down a lot if it doesn't have a lot of power

Without a crapload of power he'll just dig for China with paddles. On the other hand, that makes for hilarious vid footage.:haha:

Believe me it has the power!!:D

Just viewing the choices, would paddle tires be harsh on my drivetrain, is it the same as regular tires

I would say paddles would be harder on drivetrain. Now post pictures of your build so we can see what you got.

ya throw up some pics and or specs
call the tire store i reccomend they will set you up tey go off weight hp and all that good stuff. i have custom paddles from them for my banshee 100hp at the wheels they do all the paddles for the big boys. They also have a huge booth at the sand sports super show It will be in costa mesa in september. They can have bead locks made for you the list goes on.

Is there someone who has tried with paddle tires on a heavy rig with little hp
Just wondering BC when I bought boggers the first time everyone said it would just dig down in the sand but it did very good I think ;)
So bring the flames :p:
Now I have bought paddle tires and wheels from a formula offroad rig and going to try them on my big hp (150) lightweight (6600lbs) M1008 :eek1:

I don't think they will work. They work on foff rig because they are relatively light weight and have enough horsepower to spin tires so fast, that they float on sand and water. I guess you'll end up busting those tires, they are nothing more than street slicks with paddles glued to them.

Paddles in action at last weekends competition.
