painless cooling fan wiring question/opinion

I don't feel like digging through your thread. But what are you using for fans again? Windstar?

on the SWB yes, triggered by FiTech. The LWB K10 has a radiator & fan package triggered by broflow. Same twin 30 amp fuses and relays on both.

@Fordum any amp meter suggestions ? maybe an old in dash amp meter?
It would take a really old in dash meter. Most of the ones nowadays are actually voltmeters with a remote shunt. If you knew where the shunt was and could use it that would be fine.
Otherwise, there are a lot to choose from.
If you have a good digital voltmeter already, then a fairly cheap clamp-on AC/DC amp probe should do. Make sure it will read DC.
Such as this one:

If you need the whole meter, one of these should do:

If you would like something to monitor the current all the time, this might get the job done.

You could mount this in the dash and watch the current of the fans and voltage of your system all the time.
Two points though.
One, the shunt has to go in the negative side of the load, and, two, its a $17 dollar volt/amp meter, so don't expect Fluke standards.
