Ok guys I have a question. I'm doing a painless wiring install and would like for things to look original. How is the engine harness routed behind the engine?

Is the harness just laying across the top of the trans? The old harness was so hacked up and was just laying behind the engine! Tried lookin for an image that clearly show but nothing has come up.
I have 1, 1" dia Adele clamp on the drivers side top bell housing bolt that hold the loom in 1" split loom
there was spark plug wire / wiring combo clips and they clipped in to the stock vavle covers or tabs mounted on intake bosses . the wire loom the wiring was in was clipped in to these to held them and let it float around the back to the pass side .
Thank you guys. I will have to find a clamp to mount on the back of the engine.
The main thing with any harness is to keep it from chafing. Not letting it run on anything. The vibrations generated will eat a wire up quick. External sleeving and insulated mounts are needed.
Doing a full truck rewire, I would order a miscellaneous sizes package of insulated stainless steel cable clamps.

Yeah! I went full fan boy if you want to call it that and bought powerbraid from painless.
Hey guys I'm to the point of wiring the transmission it's a 700r4 w/ lockup. I need to wire in the power wire but the old harness was not hooked up when I got the truck. What one is the lock up switch and what did the wiring look like so I can search for him my mees of and old harness!
Got the driver side one figured out. It's for lockup on the converter.
