Anyone ever make a paint booth in their driveway?

Landlord at the shop said we cant paint there because the buildings are not set up for that, so we're forced to do it elsewhere. Our cheapest option is to make a booth out of 2x4s and some 4mil plastic. We got some 20" fans laying around that we can use for ventilation and we'll use some furnace filters to keep the dust out. Anyone have some insight, suggestions on doing this?

We're using black single stage enamel paint, primer is already on. Gonna use some sealer before as well.

Here's a picute of the truck we're painting :eek1:

You are kidding right? :eek1: :doah: :haha:

I've made quite a few freestanding, halfass booths... Any questions on intake and exhaust, etc, shoot me a pm...

So places rent out paint booths... I've had some friends that have used them with good results.... other use their garage with plastic as a booth...

HAHA, i was expecting some responses like that. We replaced the pass door and front fender with some from a junkyard. Bought a new core support and pass side inner wheel well and a new rocker. The driver side door got a new lower door sill, have a new rocker that i gotta install later, and replaced the driver side cab corner.

The truck was sitting in the driveway and i need something to drive to school so gotta make it look half way decent :haha: The bed is missing a body mount so we made a brace so it doesnt fly off. The bed was so bad i took expanding foam to fill in the wholes, shaved it and filled over it :doah:

Its pretty hack but whatever, 234,000 2.8 hoping to get a year out of the truck  Its come a long way from what it was.

Ended up spraying at my uncles shop late saturday night. Looks ok, had a few spots wrinkle. Its done and thats all i care about.

She actually graduated about '94 or so. Don't know if she has any older sibs though. I believe she is from a fairly wealthy family and might be known in the community. Was in Burkburnett for their wedding in about 2000, great small town. Had a lot of fun at some of the local bars. Take Care.
